The PaIN Lab
Welcome to our collaborative hub, where science meets creativity.
This is where our team gathers to brainstorm fresh ideas,
dive into data, and push boundaries in Chronic Pain research.
Quantitative Sensory Testing Rooms
Our Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) rooms are
optimized for standardized assessment of
somatosensory function.
Equipped with thermal stimulators, pressure algometers,
and mechanical testing tools, they enable precise
measurement of sensory thresholds critical to pain research.

QST Devices
Our lab is equipped with advanced QST devices
that help us measure how individuals perceive
different types of sensory stimuli such as
pressure, temperature, sound, vision and vibration.
These tools allow us to assess pain thresholds,
and explore individual variations in pain perception.
Harper PaIN Lab & Uncommon Sense Lab Collab
A space dedicated for designing and testing
Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) devices developed in
collaboration with the Uncommon Sense Lab at Georgia Tech and the Harper Pain Lab at Emory School of Medicine.
Blending engineering and neuroscience to decode pain and learn more about the Uncommon Sense Lab!
