During his clinical work, he was challenged with a few patients that didn’t respond to PT treatments. In pursuit of an understanding of chronic pain, he moved to the U.S. and completed his Masters degree in Rehabilitation sciences where he investigated the relationship between proprioception, vibration sense, and pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis. His PhD explored the effects of isometric exercise on patients with Fibromyalgia. Dr. Alsouhibani continues to make progress as a post-doctoral fellow in the Harper PaIN lab investigating pain processing in individuals with and without chronic pain. During his free time, Dr. Alsouhibani loves to spend time with his partner and their two young children.
